This short report from the London School of Economics and Political Science and WholeLoop Labs can help you to better understand ways of envisioning and implementing post-growth business transformation and supporting alternative economic models. Introductory in scope, the report examines post-growth transformation, where companies operate without the imperative of continual economic growth and instead prioritise social wellbeing and ecological sustainability over profit maximisation. The study highlights the psychological and behavioural barriers and enablers to this transformation, revealing how behavioural insights can help organisations navigate change more effectively. The survey shows that the greatest barriers to post-growth transition aren’t necessarily values, but perceptions; workers often significantly underestimate how many of their peers support sustainable business practices.
