Statement on Inclusive and Sustainable Artificial Intelligence for People and the Planet

This statement was the product of an open, multi-stakeholder, inclusive approach between participants from over 100 countries at the AI Action Summit, including government leaders, international organisations, representatives of civil society, the private sector, and the academic and research communities. The statement - and its signatories - champion the development and proliferation of AI that is human rights based, human-centric, ethical, safe, secure, and trustworthy. To achieve this, participants affirmed a number of key priorities, such as promoting AI accessibility to reduce digital divides; ensuring AI is open, inclusive, transparent, ethical, safe, secure, and trustworthy; encouraging AI deployment that positively shapes the future of work and labour markets; making AI sustainable for people and the planet; and more.
