We convene Communities of Practice (CoPs) in response to our partners’ needs. Our research team helps connect companies and change agents that are grappling with similar issues. Working together, we build knowledge and co-create resources and tools.
We found that progress has been made on helping companies set contextual carbon goals and work is underway on a contextual approach for water. In contrast, companies have articulated a need for frameworks that would help them to address social context as well as developing a better understanding of how to assess corporate contributions to community resilience. In this CoP, we will build knowledge and co-create resources and tools that support companies in taking a contextual approach to social impacts
Contextual strategies explicitly acknowledge the need to operate within a set of planetary boundaries and social foundations, considering longer timelines and a broader understanding of value creation. In this CoP, we will rethink the materiality process by exploring the ways in which leading global firms are understanding the megatrends affecting their business, the principles guiding the decision making process, and planning for the future.
When people in organizations communicate, they often do it through stories. Stories help us reflect on the past, make sense of the present, and speculate on the future. In this CoP, we dive into what storytelling looks like in different organizations, the role of stories and building organizational capacity for storytelling.
